Contratulations to Miss Lesley Mackie!

Lesley successfully completed the cycle challenge in aid of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association on Saturday 15th May.  She cycled from Glasgow to Edinburgh with the other 89 cyclists to raise money for this excellent charity.

Thank you to all who supported her in this venture!

We recently held our Autumn Dance Display for current pupils to show off their talented dance skills! The show was a great success and thanks to all who lavished praise on the dancers who gave of their time for this charity event.  We are still counting but so far it seems we will be able to donate approximately £930.00 to St John's Hospital, Livingston.  A sincere 'Thank You' to all who supported this venture.

In addition to this, Mrs Myra Mackie officially retired from show productions and was overwhelmed to see fomer dancers (some who are qualified dance teachers too) sitting in the audience!  There was also one of her very first pupils sitting in the audience and was so enthralled by the dancing, she has vowed to return.  A warm welcome awaits!

This was all a complete surprise, especially as, although most were still fairly local, some had travelled from Sheffield, Kent and beyond to celebrate the end of her charity work over 4 decades of dance!  Apologies for not getting enough time to speak to all but much appreciated that a fantastic trip down memory lane played such a part!  Both front of house and behind the stage curtains. many were blubbering wrecks!  An emotional time for all so once again thank you to all who became part of this very special event.

As a result of this recent event, we are now able to invite new pupils interested in joining us to get in touch.  New work will be gradually introduced to pupils old and new alike as we look forward to another year of dance!

University Calling!

Ailie will be greatly missed when she moves up to Aberdeen to study Events Management.  She has been a successful competitive Scottish Starlet and is extremely popular with her peers.  We hope that she visits us regularly during term breaks and keeps in touch.  A talented musician and dancer who can always return to dancing after her studying!  We wish you all the best for your future Ailie! SURPRISE!
Both Amy and her sister Rebecca continue to be taught by Mrs Mackie who was invited to Kent on several occasions.  In-depth tuition and copious notes are made available for them to progress!  When they visit north of the border, both girls try wherever possible to attend classes and continue their dance tuition with us.  DEDICATION!
